Ben Graham the Geelong Cats full-back and captain has been sought by many NFL clubs. He regularly kicks the ball 60 to 70 metres with grteat accuracy to team-mates. His biggest kick last year went 85.7 metres (about 91yds). Benny has said he will go to the NFL when he's too old for Australian Football, despite being offered big money. He says he enjoys footy where you can tackle, bump/charge and block, catch "mark", kick, handpass, basically do it all, and run more than in any other team game in the world (Gaelic Football perhaps excepted). He knows that in the specialised world of Gridiron he'll just be a punter. http://www.afl.com.au/players/player_profile_960372.htm

This Saturday, 2nd September (3 weeks earlier than usual because of the Olympics), the AFL Grand Final (Aussie version of Super Bowl) will be held in Melbourne.

Over 95,000 fans will pack the MCG to see one of the strongest teams in history: the Essendon Bombers who've won 23 of their 24 matches this season take on the young and speedy but inexperienced Melbourne Demons. It may be a massacre, but both teams play attacking entertaining football and if you can see it on TV wherever you are, look out for it - if the young Demons don't choke it could be a ripper! Preview: http://www.afl.com.au/news/story_198343.htm At yesterday's preliminary final thrashing of the mighty Carlton Blues by the Bombers, a Professor in Sports, Prof. Tomlinson from the UK, was interviewed on the radio. Seeing his first live game of Aussie Rules the Prof described Australian Rules Football as "very impressive - in Size, the field is the largest of any team sport, in Scale, the speed strength and stamina needed, the many different players of all body types, and in Skill - no sport in the world demands as much multi-skilling by every player." Worth a view guys.

i am wondering about player who were so dominant, that mlb were forced to change the rules as a result of that dominance. for example: bob gibson led mlb to lower the pitcher's mound because he was so dominant as a pitcher. any help would be greatly appreciated.
